We work with high achieving children and help unlock their potential with a specially designed programme
Founded in 2013, Lauriston Lights is a charity that brings together high ability 11 year-old children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds with university students from across the UK. Over a two week summer camp, we help children find the confidence and skills to mean they thrive in secondary school and beyond. Currently we are based in Newham, East London, but are hoping to expand in the near future.
In 2013 and 2014 we ran a summer camps at Gallions primary school. In 2015 we ran two camps, one at Gallions and one at Kingsford Community Secondary School. In 2016 we ran camps at Bow Secondary School and Manorfield Primary School. In 2017 we plan on running camps in London and Oxford.
